Lesly
F. Massey is an ordained minister with the Christian Church (Disciples
of Christ). Before joining the Disciples of Christ, he was a minister
with another denomination serving churches in Texas and South Africa.
His ministry experience includes service as a missionary in South Africa
for thirteen years, and seven years as instructor at Southern Africa
Bible College. He also served as Project Administrator for a third
world development organization, conducting projects in Haiti, El
Salvador, and various countries in Africa.
In
recent years, Dr. Massey worked for ITT Technical Institute as Director
of Recruitment and for Computer Learning Center as Director of
Education. He is currently Adjunct Professor of Religion at
Amberton University.
His
education includes: Diploma in Theology, Southern Africa Bible College;
B.A. in biblical studies, University of South Africa
; M.A. in New Testament, Abilene Christian University ; M.T.S. in
ministry and Christian theology, Texas Christian University (Brite
Divinity School), and Ph.D. in religion, University of Natal .
He is the author of
God and the Working Man (1983), Women in the New Testament (1991), and
Women in the Church: Moving Toward Equality (2001). |
